Rika Fajrini

Rika obtained a Monbukagakusho scholarship and earned an M.GES degree from Kyoto University in 2017 with a focus on research into the use of genetic resources and traditional knowledge. Previously Rika earned a law degree from the University of Indonesia with a focus on law, community, and development studies. Rika has joined ICEL since 2013 and has been heavily involved in law enforcement and community capacity building programs and advocating for forest and land governance policies. Expertise: Biodiversity, environmental loss and accountability, spatial planning policies, and indigenous/local community access to natural resources.
