Raynaldo G. Sembiring

Raynaldo G. Sembiring, or more familiarly called Dodo, is currently active in the environmental law reform movement. Besides, he is also a public lawyer (registered as a member of PERADI), the Regional Council of Walhi DKI Jakarta, a teacher of environmental law, and also actively liaises with ICEL’s networks and institutions engaged in environmental law in several countries.

Dodo completed his undergraduate education from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, and continued his graduate education at the Driyarkara School of Philosophy.

Dodo was invited several times as a guest speaker at international and national forums. To compile several environmental and legal research policies and policies at the national and local levels as well as to compile several regulations in the field of environment and natural resources. Expertise: General Environmental Law, Biodiversity Law, Environmental Administration Law, Anti-Strategic Law Against Public Participation (Anti-SLAPP) and access to public participation and environmental ethics.

Isna Fatimah

Isna Fatimah

Isna Fatimah obtained StuNed scholarship and earned an LL.M. cum laude predicate from Tilburg University in 2019 with a focus on research on access to information in climate change adaptation. Previously, Isna earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Indonesia in 2013. After graduating, Isna began her career as legal staff in the reform and law enforcement division at the REDD + Management Agency (formerly the REDD + Task Force). At ICEL, Isna is currently contributing primarily to capacity building initiatives in the field of environmental law, structuring land-based licensing and social control over issues of forest and land fires. Expertise: structuring land-based licensing and climate change adaptation.

Grita Anindarini

Grita Anindarini

Grita Anindarini obtained a Chevening scholarship and earned an LL.M degree from the University of Aberdeen, the UK, in 2018, focusing on Energy Law. Previously, Ninda obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Indonesia with a focus on Energy and Natural Resources Law. Ninda has also participated in short courses at IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft, the Netherlands related to Water and Environmental Law. At ICEL, Ninda currently contributes primarily in research and advocacy related to energy and mining governance, climate change issues, and environmental administration law. Fajri Fadhillah

Fajri Fadhillah

Fajri obtained his law degree from the Faculty of Law, the University of Indonesia in 2015 with a focus on the principle of prudence in environmental law. Fajri was involved in several advocacy cases related to pollution control and/or environmental damage, among them a citizen’s lawsuit about Jakarta air pollution and a request for material test rights against the President’s Regulation on Accelerating the Construction of Waste Power Plants with Thermal Technology. Fajri also has experience in advocating the preparation of regulations in the field of pollution control and/or environmental damage, among other regulations in the field of air pollution control and in the field of waste reduction. At this time, Fajri focuses on developing environmental law, especially in the field of pollution control and environmental damage, both in terms of prevention and supervision and enforcement.. Ursula Stephania

Ursula Stephania

Ursula Stephania holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia in 2014. Towards her final study, Fania chose specialization in the field of management accounting with a thesis related to balanced scorecard as a measurement tool for organizational performance. She once joined Ernst and Young Indonesia as an intern. Furthermore, She worked as an accounting staff in several profit and nonprofit organizations before finally deciding to join ICEL in 2020. Yanuar holds a bachelor’s degree in Library Science from Diponegoro University. At ICEL, Yanuar is in charge of managing the Library, Website, and Open Systems Journal (OJS) of Jurnal Hukum Lingkungan Indonesia.

Rika Fajrini

Rika Fajrini

Rika obtained a Monbukagakusho scholarship and earned an M.GES degree from Kyoto University in 2017 with a focus on research into the use of genetic resources and traditional knowledge. Previously Rika earned a law degree from the University of Indonesia with a focus on law, community, and development studies. Rika has joined ICEL since 2013 and has been heavily involved in law enforcement and community capacity building programs and advocating for forest and land governance policies. Expertise: Biodiversity, environmental loss and accountability, spatial planning policies, and indigenous/local community access to natural resources. Marsya Mutmainah Handayani

Marsya Mutmainah Handayani received an LPDP scholarship and earned his LL.M degree from Lancaster University in 2017, with a focus on Climate Change Loss and Damage. Previously, Marsya obtained a law degree from the University of Indonesia with a focus on Criminal Law and Business Law. At ICEL, Marsya is responsible for issues of the Forest and Land Management Index (IKHL), permit review, spatial planning, climate change, and environmental criminal law. Email: marsya@icel.or.id

Antonius Aditantyo Nugroho

Antonius Aditantyo Nugroho obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree with a focus on law, community, and development studies in 2016. After graduating, he worked at a private bank as a corporate legal entity, before finally deciding to join ICEL in 2018. Ohiongyi Marino

Ohiongyi Marino graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Indonesia in 2012 and joined ICEL since then. Ohiong was involved in forest certification research and environmental judge certification. Ohiong is also active as a trainer in monitoring forestry licensing for community and non-government organizations in many areas. Adrianus Eryan

Adri graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Indonesia in August 2017 and has been directly joined by ICEL since then. He currently plays a role as a researcher in the Forest and Land Governance Division by focusing on forest and land governance policies, forest fire research, reviewing permits in the mining and plantation sector, and corruption issues in the natural resource sector. Bella Nathania

Bella graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Indonesia, in 2017 with a specialty in law. After graduating from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, Bella assisted BAKTI-Kominfo in building telecommunications networks in the foremost, outermost, and disadvantaged areas. Furthermore, Bella worked as an assistance team for the Commissioner of the Legal Division of the Election Supervisory Board of the Republic of Indonesia, especially in assisting Bawaslu in trials at the Constitutional Court, the Administrative Court, and the General Court. Dalila Doman

Dalila graduated from the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) in 2018 with a concentration in the study of procedural law and international law. Dalila graduated with the conquest of the concentration of International Environmental Law until the topic of Dalila’s Final Project was regarding the legal obligations of protecting biodiversity in terms of international and national law. Before joining ICEL, Dalila was an apprentice as a Legal Officer in one of the start-ups in Jakarta and then decided to join ICEL. Difa Shafira graduated from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia in 2020 and joined ICEL ever since. Chenny Wongkar

Etheldreda D’ely Eunice Luzchenny Tenda Wongkar or commonly called Chenny graduated from the Faculty of Law of Gadjah Mada University in 2020 and joined ICEL since then. During his studies, Chenny took the legal concentration of environmental law with a thesis on the relationship between the concept of social forestry and Indonesia’s climate change mitigation.
